The largest river in Bohol, the Inabanga rivier is in the town of Inabanga. It is 25 kilometers long and reaches 7 to 10 meters deep. It is just like the Loboc river in its beauty but however it is even deeper and wider.
Abundant in tropical vegetation, mostly of tall coconut palm trees, bananas, nipa palms, ferns and bulky shrubs line the banks of the river. The river is wide and is field with river grasses on the soil bed or moss that’s why it appears to be of a deep turquoise-green shade.
The pristine and mesmerizing beauty of Inabanga River is often beckons children and adults alike to take a dip especially during summer. Some people are often seen jumping from overhanging trees to dive towards the river below. While other fellows are contented sitting on the roots of trees at the bank of the river with fishing lines stretched towards the deep hoping to catch some fish for a happy fish meal.

Trees are bejeweled with the countless lights of fireflies along the riverbanks when you are riding a boat from Loboc or Loay. It is recognized as a unique, wondrous spectacle sight especially for city dwellers.  Lighted up by literally thousands of dancing fireflies it can be mistaken as a Christmas tree with shimmering lights.You can even catch a glimpse of birds sleeping among the branches of the mangrove trees that line the river during migration season.

Balicasag Island is a 1.5 acre island that is famous as a marine sanctuary and place for snorkeling and diving. It is situated four kilometers southwest of  Duljo Point of Panglao Reef. The island is fringed by a narrow reef shelf 9 to 49.5 meters wide which is surrounded by a sandy shell coraline beach. A thriving fish community such as jacks, barracudas and mackerels is found around the cliff face area. About a hundred meters away from the shoreline, the water suddenly runs deep and this makes the area fit for scuba diving. You can this explore this astonishing island all of it in 45 minutes flat.

Getting there. To go to Balicasag Island from Tagbilaran airport, one may get a taxi or a van for rent or a tricycle to Alona Beach. Tricycles charge only Php 250 (or about US$ 6). The trip from Tagbilaran Airport to Alona Beach, Panglao Island usually takes about 30 minutes. It is a 30-45 minute boat ride from Alona Beach.

Rajah Sikatuna National Park is located at Logarita, Bilar, Bohol. With a total land area of 9,023 hectares, Rajah Sikatuna National Park is the widest remaining forest in Bohol and is declared as the country’s National Park. It is a haven for nature lovers and a bird-watcher’s paradise. Wildlife is undisturbed and roams freely in the park’s interiors. Countless species of birds, butterflies, flora and fauna thrive in the area. With a minimal entrance of P20.00, one can traverse the countless trails set up for visitors who want to go on a nature trek or bird watching. A Birders’ logbook can be found in the headquarters small hostel. It is advisable to bring birdcall tapes in your bird-watching trips to lure even the naturally shy birds from their habitats.

Getting there. St. Jude buses are available at the Dao Integrated Terminal at Tagbilaran City. These buses ply the route to Talibon and passes by the Bilar Market con terminal. From the terminal, one can hire a “habal-habal” (motorcycle taxi) and instruct the driver to bring you to the park’s headquarters at Logarita which is 3.5 kilometers away.

Made up of flexible and tough bamboo, crosses over a certain part of the Loboc River’s emerald waters;  Sipatan Hanging Bridges does not only serve to the tourists but to the locals as well. These 100-meter  footbridges  attracted several foreign tourists who savor the thrill of crossing and diving in the cool and unpolluted water of the river. With  two bridges, tourist safety will be assured. A two-way traffic in just one narrow foot bridge, with people meeting at the center of the swaying bridge could give inconvenience to tourists. Thus, the construction of another bridge could help avoid traffic and lightens the carrying capacity of the foot bridge.

The Loboc Forest camp located at Upper Bonbon, Loboc, Bohol is a wild life experience in the Philippines. The Forest camp is indeed a one-stop camp with flora and fauna in it, such as the Philippine Tarsier, the Philippine Hawk-Eagle, butterflies and many more. The floras which includes the beautiful flowering orchids, the medicinal herbs garden, the vegetables and many more. All natural and organic in the camp. The plants are fertilized with organic fertilizers, such as animal waste mixed with enzymes and some animals like pigs and chicken are fed with saw dust and desiccated coconut mixed with enzymes. The beautiful camp also features different Philippine cultures and traditions like the replica of the “atabay” (a deep well) which was the source of water in the old times and until now, the “Palidan” (threshing house), and the “Landahan”(copra dryer), and the traditional “Bahay Kubo” (nipa hut),the basic Filipino shelter. Many students or “barkadas” (group of friends) enjoy the experience being in the camp, the real outdoor camping adventure without the fear if being harmed by creatures of the wild. The area has never been tampered though it was cleaned up. You can also enjoy the zipline which is a part of the extreme camping adventure for as low as P175. And for those who wish to take the guided camp tour, you’ll only pay a minimal fee of P50. However there are some necessary discounts also, like senior citizen that will only pay P40, the children from 6 to 11 years old that will only pay P25 and the children 5 years old downwards can enter the camp free of charge.
