Forest Camp

The Loboc Forest camp located at Upper Bonbon, Loboc, Bohol is a wild life experience in the Philippines. The Forest camp is indeed a one-stop camp with flora and fauna in it, such as the Philippine Tarsier, the Philippine Hawk-Eagle, butterflies and many more. The floras which includes the beautiful flowering orchids, the medicinal herbs garden, the vegetables and many more. All natural and organic in the camp. The plants are fertilized with organic fertilizers, such as animal waste mixed with enzymes and some animals like pigs and chicken are fed with saw dust and desiccated coconut mixed with enzymes. The beautiful camp also features different Philippine cultures and traditions like the replica of the “atabay” (a deep well) which was the source of water in the old times and until now, the “Palidan” (threshing house), and the “Landahan”(copra dryer), and the traditional “Bahay Kubo” (nipa hut),the basic Filipino shelter. Many students or “barkadas” (group of friends) enjoy the experience being in the camp, the real outdoor camping adventure without the fear if being harmed by creatures of the wild. The area has never been tampered though it was cleaned up. You can also enjoy the zipline which is a part of the extreme camping adventure for as low as P175. And for those who wish to take the guided camp tour, you’ll only pay a minimal fee of P50. However there are some necessary discounts also, like senior citizen that will only pay P40, the children from 6 to 11 years old that will only pay P25 and the children 5 years old downwards can enter the camp free of charge.

Roxas Park

Formally known as the President Manuel A. Roxas Campsite, Garcia Hernandez Roxas Park is indeed the town’s pride. Within the park are the well-visited Maambong Spring Pools and the Seventh Heaven Caves. This park lies a bit inland from the national highway, characterized by tall mahogany trees, lush vegetation that includes rich fauna. This park is also  ideal for camping site.

Roxas Park is situated 3 kilometers away from the Poblacion’s municipal hall. From Tagbilaran City, it is only an hour drive, about 53 kilometers away.

Cambuhat Eco Tour

Found in a small village of Cambuhat, the Cambuhat River and Village Tour is now the pride of the municipality of Buenavista. This village has a wide and picturesque river lined with mangroves and nipa palms which is also at the same time an oyster farm. Cambuhat River has been awarded as the cleanest river by Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran. It is situated in the northwest part of Bohol, around two hours from Tagbilaran City.

Guests are treated to paddle boat rides on board native boats where the boatman will proudly explain how the oysters are cultured and how this has become one of the source of livelihood for the community. Other highlight activities in this tour includes interaction with the locals as they happily exhibit their  loom weaving, raffia weaving, broom making, weaving of saguran and mats,  making of nipa thatches, hats, baskets and many more. Among its goings-on include oyster and milkfish mariculture, handicrafts, raffia weaving, food and delicacies or sago making, buri dance and Agta sand and boat padding. The Cambuhat River “has been awarded as the cleanest river by Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran”.

Ubay Agri-Park

A 100 hectare land along the national highway and first of its kind in Visayas was recently launched to improve and boost agriculture and tourism industry. Ubay Agri-Park located in in Lomangog, Ubay helps to promote agri-tourism or “farm tourism”.  It is a showcase of Bohol’s farm technology advancement. Tourists and visitors from all over the country and all over the world can interact with the park’s personnel about the various aspects of farm, technology and they leave the park with much richer knowledge in agriculture and production. The natural beauty of Ubay includes not only agriculture but also includes marine wealth and plant and also animal life. The Ubay stock Farm in the foot of Hinalapaan Hills is really a place of worth seeing. One can also swim in the Kaugiaon Falls. There are also privately managed cattle ranches in the area.  You can also appreciate the Martinez cattle ranch with its own airfield. You’ll also enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of marine life and wealth along the islands.

Horsebackriding

An exhilarating  and  thrilling activity specially when done at night. Horseback riding  is a new tourist activity in Loboc. Trails have been established through verdant rolling terrain, up steep slopes and under mango orchards, among others.

Bayoyoy the Dwarf

Bayoyoy is the smallest man in the Philippines at only 2.5 feet tall. Living in Dauis, Bayoyoy has a condition called ”dwarfism”. He has no joints on his arms and legs and can only consume milk and oatmeal.

Bohol Bee Farm

The Bohol Bee Farm is a very cozy and relaxing place on Panglao island. They prepare delicious meals from organically-grown vegetables on her farm–from squash muffins, vegetable lasagna to her specially-brewed coffee from roasted corn and wild berries. A chalet-styled home are provided to guests who want to enjoy the peace and serenity of having the entire farm to themselves…

This is certainly a place apart: not only is it a wonderful relaxing place for visitors, it also tries to contribute to the local community and the environment.

Sagbayan Peak

Is a mountain resort and recreation center located in the town of Sagbayan, about 45 miles northwest of Tagbilaran City and 10 miles from Carmen’s Chocolate Hills Complex. This resort and recreation center boast of a massive but spectacular viewing deck that can afford a 360 degrees view of the  chocolate hills as well as the island of Cebu using high-powered telescope on the pavilion’s deck. Wishing fountains are scattered throughout the property and a grotto is also present. Sagbayan Peak is a 1-1/2 hour drive from Tagbilaran.
